What is a private luxury villa rental? Truly exclusive! This is the ultimate of all Caribbean vacation rental options and experiences. How do I get to Casa Kimball?   Our guests from the US frequently fly with Jet Blue, American Airlines, Delta, and Continental or private jet. There are regular flights from Canada with West Jet and Air Canada and seasonally with charter airlines such as Air Transat.

The popular north coast is served by the Puerto Plata International Gregorio Luperon Airport (POP) and the new Samana International Airport (AZS).

Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) near the capital city Santo Domingo and Santiago (STI), although a bit further away, are also both viable options.

There are daily regular direct flights from Miami and New York.

Round trip airport transfer is included for one group travelling on the same itinerary. Is your group arriving at different airports or different times? No problem, we will make arrangements for you. All transfers are air conditioned and include soft drinks, water and beer for the journey.

Do I need to speak/understand Spanish? No, although Spanish is the official language, English is widely spoken in vacationing destinations such as Casa Kimball. Dominicans definitely appreciate people who make an effort to speak their language and are generally helpful in coaching you how to say words properly and if you are interested in learning more.

Is a luxury villa rental in the Dominican Republic safe for me and my guests? Yes! The Dominican Republic is now one of the top visited destinations in the Caribbean. As everywhere in the world, if you use common sense, you are unlikely to be a target of any crime. As one of the features of our numerous guest amenities we have supplied personal safes in each guestroom and the villa employs night watchmen. This person is also available for the immediate aid of our guests in case any overnight emergency should arise.

Amenities and Services

How many guests can Casa Kimball accommodate? This depends on your group and the accommodation preferences for couples, singles, and children. There are 8 guestrooms; 5 King , 2 Queen and 1 with Queen and pullout sofa. In addition, the villa is equipped with 3 deluxe air mattresses and 2 pack and play with mattresses and bedding for babies. Should additional bedrooms be required groups of Casa Kimball have preferred rates for other villas in the community.

Is a private luxury villa rental suitable for children? What is available to children at the villa? Yes, absolutely! Pool volleyball, pool floats and toys, putting course, Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, many board games, HD Smart TV w/Sat and  Karaoke…in addition to many excursions available to suit all ages. Depending on the age of the children we can also arrange for child minders which we suggest if you have toddlers or over active children. This way, as a parent, you can enjoy more of what your luxury vacation rental has to offer. We have readily available 2 car seats, 2 pack and play with mattresses and bedding and 2 high chairs.

Is there access to a telephone? Yes, for local and international calls. If you require service to your personal mobile then it is important that you verify with your service provider that you have the proper plan or coverage for our location as no one at the villa is trained in these type of technical support issues.

Is there Internet at the villa? Yes. The villa provides fast and free connectivity to wireless fiber optic Internet, 100 Mbps. All you need is a wireless connection. Please consult your manual or an IT professional for configuration prior to arrival as no one at the villa is trained in these type of technical support issues.

Can I hold special events at the villa, such as a wedding, anniversary or corporate function? Definitely! The villa concierge is an experienced coordinator for many kinds of group events, specializing in Island weddings, and can also assist you in finding additional accommodations for your group.

What is the booking policy? Your booking is confirmed and guaranteed only when the deposit of 50% of the rental fee is received within 7 days of your booking request. The balance of the rental, full payment of the meal plan and any special events packages are paid in full 30 days prior to the rental. If reservations are made less then 30 days before arrival then the booking is confirmed and guaranteed when the full (100%) payment of the rental fee, the meal plan and any special events packages are received within 5 days of your booking request. Your rental deposit and payments issued toward your rental are non-refundable. If a cancellation is required a credit of any payments will be given towards a future rental if booked within the period of one year. If for any unseen reasons the villa becomes unavailable for your rental a full refund of any payments you have made will be provided.

Are there any other additional costs to consider? Only your incidentals; spa services, excursions, alcohol ect. Otherwise, no hidden fees or taxes.

Do you provide any discount for small groups, the length of stay or an early booking? Possibly, please inquire.

Are towels and amenities available for use during our stay? Yes, all linens, soap, shampoo, hair conditioner and hair dryers. This is a full service villa, similar to a boutique hotel. Daily room attendants and laundry service are included as well.

Food and Beverage

Can I drink the water? At the villa, yes. Casa Kimball has purified, filtered water throughout the villa. When spending the day away from Casa Kimball it is recommended to bring a supply of bottled water, which we supply for you, and-or drink only bottled beverages.

How is the villa pre-stocked for the meal plans?  Are any example menus provided? Prior to arrival the villa manager reaches out to our guests to plan the details, including menu planning. At the time of planning she will request that you let us know of any allergies, dietary restrictions and preferences so we can prepare the shopping in advance. A sample of our menu options is available upon request and our chef is always open to special requests.

Please explain how alcohol beverages are invoiced? We keep an inventory of liquors, standard bar and client requests, and the invoicing is based on consumption and charged by the bottle. There is very little mark up.  Bar menu available upon request.

Are there set meal times with the plan?  Any meal time arrangement is fine with us, set to the preference of your group.
